I have 20 years’ experience as a Consultant, Coach, and organisational leader, having held senior roles in business and consulted with leading organisations in Australia and the UK. I have built capability in a variety of industries including Legal and Professional Services, Criminal Justice, Healthcare, Local Government, Processing & Distribution, Digital Services, Not for Profit and SME's. As Head of Organisational Development at Australia Post I worked with managers at every level to change behaviour and get results.
I have established my own business since moving back to the UK in 2018 and have focused on working with SME's and not for profit organisations. I bring first-hand experience of running a business to my coaching and consulting work. This includes how to foster an entrepreneurial mindset and apply positive psychology and business model canvas tools.
People who have worked with me describe me as curious, insightful, practical, intelligent, fun and open (I asked them to describe me in 3 words!). One colleague said "Andy excels at getting into, under and around the problem to be solved". My style of coaching typically involves applying different tools and frameworks to help the client understand the issues from different perspectives and I always bring a practical and commercial aspect to the conversation.
I've got a keen interest in business design (you can't learn your way out of a poorly designed job or structure), having studied Designing Operating Models program at Ashridge Business School. My Certificate in Coaching is accredited through the University of Middlesex and I also hold multiple psychometric accreditations including Saville Wave, FIRO B, Hogan and Strengths Profile. I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
I'm a keen trail runner and cyclist, and proud father of Alice, aged six.
