I am an experienced, reliable and proven commercial and professional York based freelance designer. I have worked across a wide range of media including as a web, digital, graphic, UI and interactive tv designer since 2000 when I gained a first class honours Interactive Design degree before working in London for 11 years.
I only ever design with the user in mind - let me create you something you are proud of, which works well and of course, looks great.
I work with my developer husband Mike as Transparent www.transparentdesign.co.uk and our clients include anyone from multinationals, pharmas to sole traders and SMEs.
After graduation I worked for 6 years as an interactive tv designer at the BBC- I particularly loved designing Cbeebies games and Children In Need red button appeals, I then worked 3 years as an ecommerce / marketing designer before freelancing for the last decade. Recently I've been designing websites, apps, logos, brochures and anything graphic based and I am working part time for Make it York / Visit York where I have been designing logos, brochures, posters, social media graphics and so on.
Some recent work examples:
Visit York's Summer Guide: https://issuu.com/visityork/docs/visit_york_summer_guide_2021 - I designed the #LoveYork logo and other illustrations as well as the guide itself.
Brand, website and other graphic design such as the card for YorkieCardhttp://yorkiecard.co.uk
Brand and website for Growth Spacehttps://growthspacegroup.com/
Branding, app and system design for OnSight systems https://www.onsightsystems.co.uk/
I gained a first class honours degree in Interactive Design from the universtity of Lincolnshire and Humberside in Hull in 2000.
I always work with the user in mind - I design things which work well as well as look great. I always get to know the client's needs but also explain that they may not be the end user.
